We will soon celebrate Pastor Hyemin Na's one-year anniversary with the Tinley Park United Methodist Church. This talented young woman was born in Seoul, Korea and moved to the United States with her parents and younger brother when she was six years old.
Our Pastor studied art at Harvard University and enjoys painting with oils. Her favorite colors are hues of dusk and twilight, shades of purple, and anything in between. Pastor began working with oils when she was in college; her work appeared in exhibits at the Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston. In addition to her artistic talents, Pastor Na also plays the French horn, the guitar, the piano, and she has a beautiful singing voice.
When asked what she loves most about TPUMC, Pastor replied, "I really love the people who are so encouraging and kind. I truly enjoy our coffee hour, and I love our sanctuary; I think it is beautiful." Pastor Na continued by stating, "I think we are looking forward with hope, and we are really preparing ourselves to pursue God's vision for us and this community."
